What is maltodextrin, and why is it included in Performance Hydration Electrolyte Powder?
Maltodextrin is a complex carbohydrate that is quickly absorbed by the body, making it an ideal source of energy before and during intense exercise. Carbohydrate can enhance the rate of fluid absorption, in particular sodium. This occurs via the sodium glucose co transport mechansim, in essence, for each molecule of glucose and sodium that enters the cell, a certain amount of water is also absorbed (REF)
Is it okay to use more than one sachet?
It is completely fine to use more than one sachet per day. Marchon Performance Hydration Sachets were designed to be used as a daily supplement with the optimal dose being 1-3 sachets. Research shows people's sweat rates can vary widely so if you have a high sweat rate and train frequently then you may require 2-3 doses. However, start with 1 sachet and slowly increase over time based on your requirements.

My multivitamin also contains some of the electrolytes in MARCHON™ Performance Hydration Electrolyte Sachets, am I okay to take both?
Most multivitamins only contain small amounts of electrolytes, and usually these are pretty poorly absorbed in a tablet form. Taking electrolytes and a multivitamin is completely fine to do.
When to take
The ideal time to take performance hydration is in the 30 minutes pre training session. The reason for this is to ensure you are not starting your session dehydrated which can harm your training.
If your training session has been extremely sweaty then you may want to take it post training.
You can also take the product first thing in the morning to help improve overall hydration.
